The Gold Goose Party Platform

The platform focuses on local government first, and the policies of national and global governments last. What our best plan of action is in this period of government gridlock and conflict is to be in control of the things that are immediately around us, and live a life that reduces the cost of living while increasing overall quality of life.

    Economic Strength & Resilence

We are a local area that produces many resources that are enjoyed both locally and nationally. We must support a large network of local businesses and farmers, the most important aspect of any local economy. We must not let global shortages and national shipping delays effect our quality of life.

  • Urban Design & Diversity

Lancaster City is growing beyond what is technically Lancaster City. Monocultural zoning and too much big development in one place is destructive to the local economy. With the reuse of aged buildings to their max extent, and organic mutations within less dense areas, we can build beautiful and durable communities at a great price.

    Accessibility & Transparency

A government is by the people, for the people, and in the 21st century we have multiple ways of increasing citizen participation and involvement in the decision making process. The Gold Goose Party believes that we need more open public arenas to debate and discuss the issues in our community.

  • Waste & Resource Management

The Gold Goose Party strives to see clean streets and efficient use of resources. This party supports the recycling and use of material to its maximum extent. We seek to promote a local robust and accessible composting service and a more purposeful recycling.

    Intermunicipal Cooperation

We believe that in order to have more strength we need to work together on projects and planning as a more cohesive union of local governments. This is how we preserve farmland and prevent continued dingy and cliche urban sprawl developments, and create great a new era of American architecture.

  • Parking and Transportation

We all know gas keeps getting more expensive, parking keeps getting worse, and traffic is time-consuming. The Gold Goose Party believes we can make other modes of transportation better and improve the safety of entire system, while raising neighborhood property values and the appearance of our communities.
